Made by Rae Ruby women's Dress / Top Sewing Pattern (paper)
A great, basic beginner's dress or top for woven fabrics! Ruby features a contrast yoke and gathers for a comfortable and flattering fit without the need for bust darts, zippers, or closures. Armholes and neckline are bias-bound for an easy finish.
Pattern includes:
-six women's sizes from XS to XXL.
-thorough step-by-step instructions with diagrams, full-color photographs, and plenty of tips and hints.
-a special two-page “Seam Finishes Appendix” with instructions for my favorite seam finishes.
-instruction summary sheet.
-full-sized pattern pieces including seam allowances.
You will need:
-Woven fabric (see yardage chart photo for amounts)
-1 1/4 yd 1.25"-wide bias tape (pre-packaged single-fold, or a fat quarter of fabric to cut or your own)
-Coordinating thread
Recommended fabrics for main dress / top:
lighter fabrics with drape such as linen, rayon challis, cotton lawn, voile, double gauze or knit
Recommended fabrics for yoke: mid or light weight cotton, linen, eyelet, lace, cotton lawn, voile or double gauze (avoid fabrics with stretch)
