April Rhodes Popover Poncho Pattern (paper)

>> THE POPOVER PONCHO is a sporty update on the bohemian staple. The cowl neck keeps you cozy and warm while the classic hoody style pocket gives you a place to store you cellphone or tuck your hands away from a chilly breeze. Make a stand-out piece with bold Pendleton Wool, or use a cuddly fleece for casual, every-day-wear. Whatever the fabric, your poncho will look completely chic with a pair of skinny jeans and booties.

Suitable for beginning sewers.
Full color photos and instructions for each step.
Includes sizes small/medium, large and plus size.

Suggested fabric types for the popover poncho: medium to heavyweight textile, such as wool, fleece, or heavy knit.

SUGGESTED FABRIC AMOUNT (in yards)

Small / Medium - 3 yards (45" wide) or 2 yards (54" wide)
Large - 3.25 yards (45" wide) or 2.25 yards (54" wide)
Plus size - 3.5 yards (45" wide) or 2-1/3 yards (54" wide)

You will also need 3/4 yard of light weight coordinating fabric for Cowl lining and optional bias hem for all sizes.

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED

1 yard of 1/2” wide twill tape or other ribbon/cording for drawstring.
